National Exam (UN) question forms for Senior and Vocational High Schools (SMA/SMK) will arrive in Jakarta on April 13. The forms will be sent from Surabaya on April 12 by land.
Head of Jakarta Education Department, Taufik Yudi Mulyanto, said this year all question forms for the National Exam are printed by Education and Culture Ministry. Thus, delivery to all regions in Indonesia is also covered by the ministry. “We will receive those question forms on April 13, which will be handed over to five universities in Jakarta as the institutions in charge in the National Exam,” he stated, Thursday (4/11).
Those five universities are Indonesia University (UI) for schools within Central Jakarta area, Jayabaya University and Seribu Islands (North Jakarta), Tarumanegara University (West Jakarta), Pancasila University (South Jakarta), and State University of Jakarta (UNJ) (East Jakarta). The forms will be distributed to 28 districts spread throughout five municipalities and a regency.
“We are cooperating with PT Pos Indonesia to distribute the forms to the districts because they are highly experienced in sending various documents in bulk. This is for the sake of secrecy, because the unopened question forms could be categorized as state documents,” he explained.
Meanwhile, regarding the question forms for schools in Seribu Islands, it will be sent a day prior to the first day of National Exam, which is on April 14. The forms will be delivered by officers from Seribu Islands Education Sub-Department through Ancol Marine Port, North Jakarta. “The question forms will be kept in Pramuka Island. This is because only two islands will be holding National Exam in Seribu Islands, namely Tidung and Pramuka Islands,” furthered Taufik.
The schools which will be holding National Exam are also only two, wghich are SMA 69 in Tidung Island and SMK 61 in Pramuka Island. To retain the secrecy of the question forms, the forms will also be guarded by police officers round the clock for 24-hour. “Question forms will be returned after the whole process of the exam is over,” he added.
The National Exam will be held for four days from April 15-18. Meanwhile, the graduation announcement will be carried out on May 24. Throughout Jakarta, 127,000 students from 1,079 schools will be participating in the National Exam, which consist of 499 SMAs and 580 SMKs. Last year, SMA/SMK graduation rate reached 99.65 percent or 54,276 students graduated out of the total sum of 54,466 participating students.
This year, the National Exam for Adult High School (paket C) is not that far behind from the schedule of ordinary high schools. If in the previous years the National Exam was held a month after, this year it will be held on the same day but in the afternoon.
Particularly for inclusive education students, National Exam with Braille characters is also provided. There are three students living with disabilities this year who will participate in the National Exam. Two of them will do it at SMA 66, while the other one to do the exam at SMA 112.
