Jakarta Provincial Government Regional Secretary, Fadjar Panjaitan surmised the non-operational status of speedboats owned by Jakarta Transportation Department at Muara Angke Port was caused by miscommunication. This is because for public service, the existing budget could be utilized agar so the service would not hinder the public.
“In accordance to the prevailing rules, employee`s salary, cleaning service, and activities related to public service do not have to wait for the passing of Jakarta City Budget. This is just a matter of communication,” told Pandjaitan, at Jakarta City Hall, Friday (1/4).
Hence, he instructed Jakarta Transportation Department to enter account code to Jakarta Regional Finance Management Body (BPKD) in order to accelerate payment process. “This afternoon, the code should be submitted, and boats belonging Jakarta Transportation Department have to be operated tomorrow,” he asserted.
Jakarta BPKD Head, Endang Widjajanti, added her party has coordinated with Jakarta Transportation Department regarding account code. Hopefully, Jakarta Transportation Department can submit its code as soon as possible. “All depends on its department head. If the code has been given, its process is just two hours,” he stated.
Seribu Islands Regent, Achmad Ludfi acknowledged that operational termination against transportation department’s boats is not disturbing sea transportation service from and to Seribu Islands. Moreover, there are currently 26 traditional boats could carry up to 150 people at the price of Rp 32 thousand per passenger. “There is no problem and has handled by traditional boats,” he expressed.
Yet he also hoped Jakarta Transportation Department boats can be operated as usual. Thus, the number of trip from and to Seribu Islands will increase and influence on tourist visit in Seribu Islands.
